One of the hardest parts of life is moving on after a dream dies—whether it's a hoped-for career, relationship or even a health-related goal. How do we confidently rise up again, when something we worked so hard for is gone? How do we reclaim our light and walk forward in hope? Join Sharif Iman and Tiona Cage for 6-weeks of encouraging conversation, inspiring music, and guided reflections designed to uplift those who are healing from the hurt of a broken dream.
Free? Yes. In keeping with Eden Spiritual Care's mission of making spiritual formation opportunities widely accessible, classes are funded entirely by generous donor contributions so you can take classes at no charge! If you would like to make a donation to help fund future classes, you are welcome to do so, but there is absolutely no expectation that you will. Suggested donation to provide space for one person in a future class is $150.

What to expect

- Guided prayer videos
- Scripture-based individual reflection prompts (written responses will only be viewable by the instructor)
- Weekly 1-hour facilitated Zoom conversations that offer opportunities to grow as part of a small online community
- Exercises that engage music in ways designed to foster deeper connection with God’s truth and healing

- Grow in self-awareness as you reflect upon the ways in which the fears and hurts from past challenges may be impacting your view of yourself and God.
- Gain new confidence in God’s love and faithfulness.
- Reconnect with God’s beauty and strength inside of you.

Who this is for
This intro-level course is open to anyone* ages 18 and up!

- People of any educational background
- People who have identified as Christ followers since their childhood, or have only recently begun identifying as Christ followers, or who have never or no longer identify as Christ followers but who are curious to learn more about the Bible, Jesus, and Christianity
- Both extroverts and introverts

Tiona Cage, MSW
Tiona Cage is the executive coordinator at a Portland, Oregon-based non-profit that uses the power of storytelling to break down relational barriers. With over 10 years of education experience, Tiona is skilled in guiding learners through an exploration of the intersection of faith, fear, and identity. With a background in intercultural communication and community development, she is passionate about facilitating dialogue that empowers individuals to recognize, make peace with and honor the image of God in themselves and in others. Tiona is a member of the Eden Spiritual Care board of directors.

Sharif Iman
At two years old, Sharif first strummed his mother’s guitar. His connection with music has remained strong ever since. During his childhood, Sharif was inspired by many artists across genres, including Michael Jackson, Prince and The Police, to name a few. Blending these influences into his own distinctive style, Sharif polished his gift for singing and songwriting, becoming well-known on the Nashville music scene--even playing a recurring role as a musician on the hit show Nashville.
Driven by both his faith and a quest for truth, Sharif Iman is passionate about using his voice to authentically and boldly speak to the struggles and the joys of life’s journey. Sharif’s words are infused with an energy and a fighting spirit that inspires courage. He is an artist who embodies creativity, soul, and grit coupled with a talent for cultivating spaces where those who are hurting can find hope and healing.
